The re-design of this dungeon has taken a formerly non-sensical, lack-luster, pointless romp and made it into one of the truly great dungeons in the game. The challenges faced become increasingly difficult as you proceed and the climatic fight against Tulor provides an experience unique in The Realm. Players from high mid-level all the way up to 1000 can find something fun here. Lower level players are advised to assess their opponents on each fight and let discretion be the better part of their valor.

Tactics

  • Mousie: You may need to carry a couple of different amulets, preferrably Thaumaturgy and Death Magic Protection for the Liche and Devil fight.
  • Shadowcast: Great dungeon for both XP and treasure. I found two AoIs in one run once and I always get good magical treasure. As wizards go, a good tactic is to have GM Myst and Necro. Warriors should have WoG or Deamons. The largest problem one might have with this dungeon is the KKs. These vile creatures are VERY hard to get Mysted. I usually get slaughtered by the first pair. A great group for this dungeon is a lower level wizard with GM Myst and Necro and a higher level warrior to absorb the hits, especially with the KKs. Invulnerability also helps.
  • Zulen: Being a Giant Warrior, this dungeon is pretty easy to start with, though once the number of the parties starts to increase so does the difficulty. Use Mass Stun, even though you will only stun 1 or 2 critters of 4, it is still better then having all 4 attacking you at once. Also, use the 'Charge' button instead of 'Attack', this way you can focus on one critter at a time and end the fight more quickly.
  • SOLSessou/Katuro: This place is great for all-intell elf wizards at around level 25-75. Make sure you have GM Thaum and GM Myst. Do the first few battles over and over, first casting Mass Stun or Fear, then maybe again if you didn't affect all of them. After that, use your free time while they are running around in circles to summon as many Faery Queens as you can. Since all of the monsters in this cavern are evil, these usually weak FQs do up to 400 damage per light dart. Once your FQs are safely in action, WoG and heal yourself until they all drop. Have fun with this easy tactic. It can yield up to 10k at a low level for 3 medusas alone. Even at around lvl 60-70, this tactic gave my wizard 3-5k exp per fight.
