Aptly named, this one is the mother of all Realm dungeons. Dangerous and nasty, if you aren't comfortable tangling with venomous snakes don't come here. It is highly recommended that you put together a strong party to tackle this hell of a dungeon.
Tactics
View old Dungeon Tactics from prior to game changes
- Liltanka: Do basically every fight. All you need is someone to Fear for 6 or more rounds and 2 tanks. You can then run through the cave, getting a level or 2 per run.
- Osirion: This is, in my opinion, the best way to get experience in Snake Pit. You can do this with either a warrior wielding a Bone Crusher and a wizard with fear and a mysticism amulet or two warriors wielding magic maces and one wizard with fear. Enter the cave. Go one left and two down. Don't use magic maces on the first two fights. Fight the three lava snakes. Then, go one down and three right. Fight the three spitting cobras. Then, equip your magic maces and go two right and two up where you will find three baby dragons. Make sure either the first person in the square gathers quickly or you all enter the square at the same time. The baby dragons will jump very quickly. Go two up for your final fight of one baby dragon. Finally, have someone exit and re-enter the cave, go to the first fight, and gather.
- No Player name submitted: In the Snake Pit the best party is two level 80-200 or so, they should be grandmaster in magic mace, or if level 200 a wrath works well. The wizard should grandmaster mysticisim with Mass Fear, and grandmaster in meditation. To perfect this party there should be a level 2 toon with them to boost the experience greatly. For preparation it's best to bring along perfect roses, or if your evil you should do a run at the Dark Gauntlet for 90% poison resistance.
- Mistling: 1 Mage + 2 BC Tanks = A Quick Run
Most of these fights are easy, the only difficult ones (and difficult is said very loosely) are the guardians. The other tactics are right on but for those two there is more to it.
Summon up as many Demons as you can and Deff the Elementals. Cast hold on them and let the Demons take them out as best as they can, After the third Demon is up have the Tanks go after them, this will keep the hits off of the Hitters and it will also drain their ability to dodge because of the Demons.
After that just try to keep those Demons healed as best you can and curse the Elementals on rounds that you can.- See your ideas here...
