Character Reference Form

Once upon a time, back when another Southern governor occupied the White House, I played this little game of fantasy called Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. We used some nifty lil forms to track our character's development. These forms had a place to record all the important information about a given character so that, in our leisure, we could plan our futures and compare our pasts. Flash foward: Sitting down to play The Realm the other day I was looking over some of my character information and found myself wishing I had all this important stuff recorded in a single place offline. The apple finally wiggled itself off the tree and raised a welt on my noggin; a few hours later I had a Character Reference Sheet for The Realm modelled on those old AD&D forms.

Please give this form a try, see how it works for you and let me know the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Added a second page to more properly handle the equipment data. After printing the front page, turn the sheet over and print the back. Use of the back page is, of course, optional. The front page still contains the small Item/Magic area for recording equipment.

An alternative, one-page Character Reference Sheet is now available courtesty of Yitano the Sane. If you prefer it and perhaps want to use the Excel spreadsheet, just download it here Character Reference Spreadsheet.

Right click on the image and select Save Image As...

Don't try printing this form from your browser, save it to disk and use a graphics program to handle the printing (and while you are at it you might want to fill in any of the permanent data items, such as Name and City). And just so ya don't tell me I didn't mention it: Print this puppy in Portrait mode.

Not sure how to use this sheet? Look over this example and if still confused about something drop me a line.

If you are REALLY having trouble getting your toon on the sheet and you REALLY want it there you may email the screen cap and I'll do the job for you as promptly as possible.
